Bourbon Tasting Fundraiser

Seven years ago, I hosted my first bourbon-tasting fundraiser at the fire company I have participated in since I was 16. To this day, it is still the largest fundraiser for the company. Over the last 7 years, I have learned to fully appreciate this spirit and everything it goes through to get the honor of being labeled America's Spirit. Drink it, basically, darling. I am trying every type of bourbon, breaking down my pallet wall, learning the science behind it, and learning how incredible distillers are by predicting the future.

Recently, I took a course at Moonshine University, staved their society, and passed my executive bourbon steward exam! Instead of hosting an amateur bourbon tasting this year, I can host it as an expert.

More and more women are entering this industry, and I am so happy to be one of them!

While I have only done this fundraiser for my fire company, this year I would like to expand and do it at others and share the amazing community of bourbon.
