FEW American Straight Whiskey

An award-winning, small-batch whiskey out of Illinois. Locally sourced grain and aged in oak barrels, but bottles in American-made glass. This bourbon is aged in small barrels ranging in size from 5 gallons to 30 gallons.

Few American straight whiskeys will have a bolder taste with the generous amount of rye in their mash bill. On the nose, you’re going to get cherries, lots of caramel, some burnt brown sugar, and burnt wood. The palate is a bit rough, there is a lot of spice out front a while you will get a little taste of caramel and vanilla it is quickly overtaken by grain and alcohol. The finish is just as rough, very very sour.

I think if this bourbon spent a few more years in the barrel it would be completely different!
