Milam & Greene Triple Cask
Milam & Greene blends 3 bourbons together to create a warm and rich bourbon for its proof. Master distiller Marlene Holmes distilled two of the three components used for this blend. One part was distilled at Bardstown Bourbon Company, while the other two parts were distilled at undisclosed distilleries, one in Tennessee and one in Texas. The end result for the combo is an original flavor profile yet a high quality that Milam & Greene are known for.
On The nose of this bourbon, you're going to get dried fruit, hazelnut, cinnamon, and a little bit of graham cracker. The dried fruit carries over onto the palate, paired with baking spices, sandalwood, and a little bit of tobacco. The finish is going to be the perfect combo of sweet and spice, with chocolate and hazelnut paired with the spice and cinnamon.
With all the spice and heaviness this is the perfect cold-weather bourbon, filled with warmth and the perfect amount of Kentucky hugs! I wouldn’t necessarily make a cocktail out of this bourbon. I think it’s just a bit too heavy to make an old fashion or Manhattan, but as a 94-proof bourbon, it’s a very easy sipper.
